Women’s Golf Closes Fall Competition With The Clash At Boulder Creek

The Beach will play three rounds in Nevada starting on Sunday.
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – After a brief respite from competition, Long Beach State will close out the fall season with a final tournament, taking part in The Clash at Boulder Creek hosted by Northern Arizona.
The field will feature a large collection of Western colleges, with 18 teams taking part in the tournament which will run from Sunday, October 24 through Tuesday, October 26 with one round scheduled each day. Taking place at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, the field includes one other Big West school in UC Riverside along with California Baptist, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, North Dakota, Portland State, Sacramento State, San Francisco, Seattle, South Dakota State, Southern Utah, UNLV, Utah Valley, Weber State, Wyoming and the hosts, NAU.
Sophomore Chloe Carraway will lead off the lineup for the Beach. Carraway has been the most consistent finisher so far this year for LBSU, placing in the top two on the team in each of the squads three tournaments so far.
Angelina Kim will follow for the Beach, with Hunter Pate playing third. Pate had a strong finish on this course previously, taking a share of 11th place in a 96 player field at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in 2019, just outside of her hometown in Las Vegas.
Vanessa Richani will also feature in the lineup, and true freshman Kristina Ponomareva will make her debut in the lineup after a strong start as an individual at the Aggie Invitational. The freshman from Russia finished in a tie for 17th overall, five over par after three rounds at the New Mexico State Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M. in her collegiate debut as an individual.
