Beach Finishes Fall Season With 11th Place Finish At The Clash At Boulder Creek

An eagle on the Par 5 16th hole helped Chloe Carraway finish the day with an even-par 72 to finish the tournament.
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Long Beach State finished off the final day of competition at The Clash At Boulder Creek with good rounds from Chloe Carraway and Hunter Pate, closing out the third round in 11th place overall to wrap up fall competition.
Carraway hit an eagle on the Par 5 16th hole, part of five holes under par on the day for the sophomore who closed the day with an even par 72. Junior Hunter Pate was one stroke behind on the day with a one-over par 73.
Sophomore Angelina Kim finished with a 75 in the third round and was the low finisher for the entire tournament for the Beach, placing in 25th overall with a seven-over par 223 over three rounds, one stroke in front of Carraway who finished in 28th overall with a 224.
Pate was third on the team with a 10-over par total to finish 36th overall, while Vanessa Richani shot 78 on Tuesday, finishing 60th overall. Kristina Ponomareva finished with an 82 in her final round of her first competitive tournament in the lineup as a true freshman.
Long Beach State will take a break through the end of the fall semester, returning to competitive action this spring with the Black and Blue Rivalry Challenge on February 23. The team will then host 10th edition of The Gold Rush at Old Ranch Country Club on February 28 and March 1.
