15 Student-Athletes Earn MPSF Indoor Track And Field All-Academic Selection

Eight women, seven men were recognized for their work in the classroom.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced its All-Academic selections Friday, and Long Beach State had 15 student-athletes recognized by the conference.
In order to merit MPSF All-Academic Selection, student-athletes must have participated in 50% of the team's competitions, be at least a sophomore academically with one full year at the institution and maintain a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average.
MPSF Long Jump Champion Jason Smith was one of seventh men to qualify, joined by Faris Babineaux, Michael Magula, Christian Mueller, Raymon Ornelas, Anthony Sommers and Charlie Vernoy.
On the women's side, Alyssa Allen, Sydney Barnes, Ryley Fick, Anitha Graves, Lenaya Griffin, Erin McGuire, Erykah McNairy and Amanda Truong all qualified. Graves had the highest GPA of the women with a 3.92.
