Long Beach State Tennis Dominates Cal State Fullerton, 6-1

The Beach rolled passed the Titans on Friday afternoon
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State women's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Big West Conference foe Cal State Fullerton on Friday afternoon at Rhodes Tennis Center.
Long Beach State (7-4, 3-1 Big West) went up 1-0 after winning the doubles point. Sadaf Sadeghvaziri and Lalita Devarakonda got things going for the Beach as they took down Cal State Fullerton's (7-4, 0-1 Big West) Taylor Valenzuela and Jadie Acidera, 6-2. The Beach clinched the point thanks to a 6-2 victory at No. 1 by Natalia Munoz and Zara Lennon.
Leading 1-0, LBSU dominated singles action as Lennon downed Camila Garcia 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 to put the Beach up 2-0. Long Beach State extended its lead to 3-0 after Munoz knocked off Genevieve Zeidan at No. 1 by scores of 6-1 and 7-6.
Devarakonda won the match for the Beach at No. 6 as she defeated Taylor Valenzuela 6-1 before battling out a 6-3 victory.
The Beach finished with a 6-1 victory as Sadeghvaziri took down YuSeung Suh at No. 4 by scores of 6-3, 7-5, and Wiktoria Rutkowska earned a 6-1, 6-4 win over Jadie Acidera at No. 3.
