Women’s Tennis Hosts San Diego State on Saturday

The Beach will look to make it consecutive home victories when San Diego State visits Rhodes Tennis Center on Saturday at 1 p.m.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Beach has just one match on the calendar this week, taking on San Diego State at Rhodes Tennis Center Saturday at 1 p.m. Long Beach State has beaten San Diego State in each of the last 14 seasons, including a 4-3 victory on the road last season.
LBSU enters the match at 1-1 following a season-opening defeat at No. 19 USC and a 6-1 victory over UC Davis last Sunday. Lalita Devarakonda went 2-0 in singles last week to lead the way for Long Beach State, and she is currently on a five-match winning streak in singles play.
San Diego State enters the contest at 2-1 on the young season. This will be the first contest away from home for the Aztecs after wins over UC Riverside (7-0) and UC San Diego (6-1), and loss against Alabama (5-2) last Friday.
