Long Beach State has a pair of home matches this weekend, closing out a four-match homestand before hitting the road for the rest of the month. LBSU is 2-0 at home so far this season with wins over UC Davis and San Diego State.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Beach will host Oregon and Saint Mary's this weekend at Rhodes Tennis Center, looking to improve to 4-0 at home on the young season.

Junior Lalita Devarakonda will look to keep her unbeaten singles streak going. She has won six straight singles matches overall thanks to a 3-0 start to the dual match schedule. In last week's win over San Diego State, it was Nos. 4-6 in the lineup that came through with the singles wins as Wiktoria Rutkowska and Zara Lennon joined Devarakonda in the win column for the 4-1 Beach victory.

The Beach will face Oregon at 2 p.m. on Friday, meeting with the Ducks for the first time since a 5-2 win to close out the 2016 regular season. LBSU holds a narrow 7-6 advantage in the all-time series with Oregon. The Ducks are off to a flying start to the season with a 5-1 record, including a pair of 6-1 wins over Big West foes UC Davis and UC Riverside.

Saint Mary's has had an interesting start to the schedule, going 2-2 in four road matches so far. The two road losses were to No. 19 USC and No. 4 UCLA, while the wins came at Sacramento State (4-0) and UC Davis (4-3). Long Beach State holds a 4-3 edge in the all-time series, including a 4-2 win last season in Moraga. The Gaels did win on their last visit to Long Beach, earning a 5-1 win over the Beach in 2018. The Beach will take on the Gaels on Saturday at 11 a.m.
