Women’s Golf Back In Action At Coeur d’Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational

The Beach will look to play their first full tournament after the Minnesota Invitational was cut short.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Golf readies to fly to Couer d'Alene, Idaho, where the Beach will take part in the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational hosted by Gonzaga on Monday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 24.
The Beach played a shortened two rounds in their first tournament of the year two weeks ago at the Minnesota Invitational, and will now return to the Coeur d'Alene Invitational where the team finished in the top half one year ago.
The 2019 field of 15 features a number of western squads, including hosts Gonzaga, Washington State, Fresno State, Portland State, Northern Arizona and Black and Blue Rival UC Irvine as well as a few from further afield, including Wichita State, Oral Roberts, North Florida and FIU.
After leaning on the team's more experienced players in Minnesota, some of Long Beach State's youth will get their opportunity in Idaho. Sophomore Hunter Pate will lead off the Long Beach State lineup, while freshman Khameryn Utu will debut next Monday. Those two will be joined by Holland Shourds, Euna Pak and Hannah Ko to round out the lineup.
