Busy Week Ahead For No. 9 Long Beach State Men’s Water Polo

Long Beach State takes on No. 5 USC on Thursday and then heads to the Air Force Tournament this weekend.
LONG BEACH, Calif. — No. 9 Long Beach State will play five games in a four-day span as they seek to pick up a huge road win against No. 5 USC on Thursday and four more this weekend at the Air Force Tournament.
No. 9 Long Beach State will travel to Los Angeles on Thursday to take on the 2018 National Champions, No. 5 USC (3-1). The Beach and the Trojans are set to play at 5 p.m. at Uytengsu Aquatics Center. Long Beach looks to snap USC's thirty game winning streak with an upset on Thursday night.
This weekend, Long Beach State will have four games slated at the Air Force Tournament. On Saturday, LBSU will face the Chapman Panthers (1-3) at 9 a.m. before a 2 p.m. square off with the Brown Bears (7-3). On Sunday the Beach will face host Air Force (5-3) at 9:30 a.m. for the second time this season before taking on the Lindenwood Lions (10-4) at 1 p.m.
Approaching the third tournament of the season, Long Beach State is led by Senior Austin Stewart with 24 goals on the season. Stewart is followed by sophomores Matt Morris and Theodoros Pateros who both have scored 13 goals on the season. Sophomore Garrett Zaan and senior Johnathan also make the list in double-digit goals with 12 apiece.
