
Long Beach State T&F Receives All-America Honors

Four LBSU Student-Athletes receives All-America honors from USTFCCCA
LONG BEACH, Calif.- Long Beach State had four student-athletes receive All-America honors for the 2019 NCAA Division 1 Outdoor season as presented by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Beach had two honorees each, both for the men and women. Kemonie Briggs qualified for the postseason in two events, meeting the standards in both the long jump and 400m dash. The senior advanced to the NCAA Championships in the long jump and finished seventh overall with a jump of 25-10.00, earning First-Team All-America honors.
Also in the field was senior Bria Palmer, who qualified for the postseason in the women's high jump. Palmer advanced to the Championships in the event and leaped to a mark of 1.75m (5-08.75) to finish 19th overall, earning Honorable Mention All-America honors.
On the track, premier sprinter Corutne' Davis had an outstanding postseason in both the 100m and 200m dash. Davis recorded personal best marks in both events at the West Preliminary rounds in Sacramento. The senior advanced to the NCAA Championships in the 100m and finished 18th overall with a time of 11.42, earning Honorable Mention All-America honors in the event.
Raleigh Adams competed in a total of four events this season, to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the 110m hurdles. Adams had a strong postseason in the event, breaking the school record with an outstanding time of 13.59. The junior received Honorable Mention All-America Honors.
