Three LBSU Beach Volleyball Pairs Named All-Big West Conference

Molina/Kruidhof, Konstantopoulou/Reinking garner first team honors, Koelsch/Holtz collect second team accolades
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State had six different players honored by the Big West Conference, as the top three pairs garnered All-Big West honors. The league office announced the all-conference selections on Monday afternoon.
The Beach's top flights of Mari Molina / Megan Kruidhof and Zoi Konstantopoulou / Nicci Reinking were named to the All-Big West First team, while the No. 3 pair of Kendra Koelcsh / Kenzie Holtz earned Second Team honors.
Kruidhof earns First Team accolades for the second time in her career after earning the honors a year ago. Kruidhof, a senior from Lakewood, Calif., along with her partner Molina, a sophomore out of Corte Madera, Calif., finished the season as the Beach's No. 1 pair after going 23-9 and 16-8 at the top flight.
Konstantopoulou and Reinking, who were Big West Honorable Mention selections last season, were named to the All-Big West First Team after going 21-11 on the year. Konstantopoulou, a senior from Limassol, Cyprus, and Reinking, a sophomore from Fountain Valley, saw action at both the No. 1 and No. 2 positions as the pair went 6-2 as the team's top flight and 15-9 at No. 2.
Rounding out the Beach's all-conference selections were Long Beach State's No. 3 pair of Koelsch and Holtz. The duo began playing together mid-way through the season and flourished winning eight matches. The pair started at No. 4 and quickly moved up to the No. 3 flight where they finished with five wins.
Cal Poly's top pair of Crissy Jones and Tia Miric were named the Big West Pairs Team of the Year, while the Mustang's head coach Todd Rogers took home Coach of the Year honors. Hawaii's Pani Napoleon garnered Freshman of the Year accolades.
