
LBSU Women’s Throwers Wrap Up Day One of Competition at the Triton Invitational

SAN DIEGO, Calif.- LBSU women's throws wrapped up a busy day in the field at the Triton Invitational hosted by UCSD. Competition on Friday consisted of the hammer and discus throw.
In the women's hammer throw, senior De'Ondra Young led the LBSU competitors with a throw of 58.85m (193-01.00) to finish seventh in the event. Crystal Rodriguez followed in 16th, throwing 52.13m (171-00.00) in one of two events on Friday for the senior.
The days action finished with the women's discus throw, where Rodriguez finished with a throw of 42.12m (132-02.00) to close out day one.
Long Beach State's men's and women's throwers and pole vaulters will compete tomorrow at the Triton Invitational, while Malia Talavou will have a second day of competition at the Triton Invitational while participating in the shot put.
