The duo went 7-1 on the week to collect the accolades

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State's duo of Megan Kruidhof and Mari Molina were named Big West Pairs Team of the Week after going 7-1 on the week and leading the Beach to a solid week including a strong showing at the Big West Challenge.

Kruidhof, a senior from Lakewood, Calif., and Molina, a sophomore out of Cabrillo Community College, opened the week at the No. 2 spot, but moved into the Beach's top flight following a three-set victory over Oregon's No. 2 pair. The tandem then recorded five straight-set wins and helped LBSU to a 7-1 week and a 5-1 mark at the Big West Challenge.

In the duo's lone loss, Kruidhof and Molina battled No. 6 Hawaii's top pair in Emily Maglio and Amy Ozee to three sets.

With Kruidhof and Molina leading the way, Long Beach State has now won 11 of its last 12 matches and boasts a 17-5 overall record.
