Long Beach State claimed their 10th win of the season with the 4-0 victory.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State won the doubles point and then snagged three straight set singles victories to claim their second win in three-non-conference matches over the last week at the Rhodes Tennis Center 4-0 over Cincinnati.
In doubles, Natalia Munoz and Lalita Devarakonda won 6-1 over Anna Philp and Ioana Guna to continue their strong play, and Wiktoria Rutkowska and Dominuque Meyer won 6-4 over Antonella Bramato and Alexia Coutino to take the doubles point for Long Beach State (10-3).
That group would continue to excel in singles play against Cincinnati (7-6). Rutkowska rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Guna in the top flight to put the Beach on top 2-0. Devarakonda was also a straight set winner, 6-2, 6-2 over Emma Miceli at No. 5, and Munoz took the final completed match of the day with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Caroline Morton.
