Beach Women’s Golf Hosts The Gold Rush Starting Monday

Long Beach State is set to host The Gold Rush this week at Old Ranch Country Club, welcoming 14 schools from across the country for a two-day tournament beginning Monday morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Beach Women's Golf will be on its home course this week, hosting The Gold Rush at Old Ranch Country Club. Play will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start on the Par 72 course, starting off the first of two rounds of action. The final round is set for Tuesday morning, also with an 8 a.m. tee time.
Long Beach State is hosting a talented field from across the country, as BYU, Cal State Fullerton, Central Arkansas, Colorado State, Fresno State, Georgia, Gonzaga, Idaho, Kentucky, Minnesota, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Santa Clara and UNLV. Long Beach State is a two-time champion of the event, last winning in 2015. Georgia will be looking to defend its title from the 2018 version of The Gold Rush, when the Bulldogs shot a 19-over 883 as a team.
The Beach lineup this year will feature junior Euna Pak at the top, followed by freshman Hannah Ko, junior Maria Davis, senior Haley Tygret, and senior Cara Barker. The Beach will also have five individuals playing this week: senior Breann Fox, junior Holland Shourds, and freshmen Hunter Pate, Morgan Polley and Hannah Son.
