The Matadors and Beach begin play Friday at 2 p.m.
LONG BEACH, Calif. –Long Beach State Women's Tennis will put their unbeaten record on the line Friday as they take on CSUN at the Rhodes Tennis Center. The Beach is scheduled to play the Matadors on February 15 at 2 p.m., in the second Big West Conference match for the Beach.
Long Beach (3-0, 1-0 Big West) is coming off of a strong showing against Nevada after winning the singles matches in the three top flights on the way to dominate a 4-0 win.
Last week, Meyer and Wiktoria Rutkowska led the Beach to the doubles championship. Both Meyers and Rutkowska have already earned Big West Player of the Week honors this season, taking home two of the first three honors this season.
Rutkowska, Natalia Munoz and Emma Bardet have all won double-digit matches in singles this year and will look to lead LBSU's effort this Friday at the Matadors.
CSUN enters Friday's match with a record of 3-1, but their loss came in their only Big West match so far, a 4-3 defeat to Hawai'i. The Matadors also participated in the Beach Tennis Invitational in January, where the Beach went unbeaten in five singles matches and three doubles matches against CSUN.
