LBSU Cross Country Finished Up the Season At the NCAA West Regionals

Raymon Ornelas and Alyssa Allen were the top finishers for the Beach.
Final Results
COLFAX, Wash.- The Long Beach State men's and women's cross country team closed out the 2019 season on Friday at the NCAA West Regional meet at Colfax Golf Club.

The women's program finished in 32nd place out of 35 teams with a total of 960 points.

Senior Alyssa Allen led her final race for the Beach, finishing in 153rd place with a time of 22:18.20 in the 6K. Sophomore Tiana Prince followed in 197th place, crossing the finish line at (22:52.60). Ryley Fick was the next finisher for the Beach, clocking in at (22:59.70).

On the men's side, LBSU finished in 21st among 28 teams with a total of 599 points.

Sophomore Raymon Ornelas was the top runner for the Beach and recorded a lifetime best, finishing in 76th place with a time of 31:20.90.

Michael Simpson finished in 104th (31:58.40), sophomore Jacob Korgan followed in 119th (32:08.80), Ricky Villa in 150th (32:53.20), and junior Ricardo Cardenas in 153rd with a lifetime-best of (32:56.60).

On the women's side, Stanford University captured the team title with 39 points and closely behind in second was the University of Washington with 49 points. Portland claimed the men's title for the second consecutive year with 65 points and Stanford University finished in second-place with 78 points.
