No. 8 Long Beach State Wraps Up Regular-Season Games on the Road

The Beach will take on LMU Thursday and UC Irvine on Saturday.
LONG BEACH, Calif.—The Beach (14-12, 1-3 GCC) will play their final two regular-season games on the road this week against No. 13 Loyola Marymount (13-10, 5-2 WWPA) on Thursday and No. 14 UC Irvine (6-13, 0-4 GCC) on Saturday.
No. 8 Long Beach State will battle Loyola Marymount on Thursday, November 14 at 3 p.m. at the Burns Aquatics Center. The Beach defeated the Lions last year 14-10 and currently hold a 21-7 record over LMU with a 13-game winning streak.
The Beach will then take on GCC foe UC Irvine on Saturday, November 16 at the Anteater Aquatics Complex for a 1 p.m. matchup. Long Beach State and UC Irvine will square off for the second time this season after meeting at the Triton Invitational where the Beach won an overtime decision, 10-8, to the Anteaters.
The Beach is led by senior Austin Stewart who had 55 goals, 22 assists and 36 steals. Following Stewart, sophomore Matt Morris has 40 goals, while Garrett Zaan and Rafael Real Vergara each have 35 goals. Junior Goalie Marwan Darwish has 184 saves in 23 games played.
