Women’s Golf Finishes Tied For 9th At Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

The Beach closes the fall portion of the schedule at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown starting October 27.
SAMMAMISH, Wash. – Long Beach State slipped to a tie for ninth place after the second and final round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, which was shortened to two rounds due to weather issues on Tuesday.
Senior Holland Shourds rebounded in the second round with a four-over 76, tied for the best round of the tournament among Long Beach State's competitors. Shourds was the top finisher for the Beach, finishing in a tie for 20th overall among the 60 competitors.
Sophomore Hannah Ko was one stroke behind Shourds for the tournament, finishing in a tie for 22nd overall at 12-over following two rounds, as the pair finished as the top two for the Beach in the second straight tournament.
Hunter Pate led the Beach after day one, but fell to 36th overall following a final-day 83. Senior Euna Pak carded the same score to finish in a tie for 40th, while freshman Vanessa Richiani finished her first team tournament in a tie for 43rd overall, also shooting an 83 on Wednesday.
Long Beach State will play one more tournament before taking a break through the holidays. The Beach will take part in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, held over three days from October 27 through October 29.
