Long Beach State had another solid performance on the courts on Saturday, going 12-2 while sending three singles players and two doubles teams to the finals of their respective flights on Sunday.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Entering Sunday's final day of the 2019 Beach Tennis Fall Tournament, Long Beach State will have a participant in five of the six final matches played. The only flight without a Beach player in the final is Flight D of singles, which didn't include a LBSU player.

Natalia Munoz won a pair of singles matches on Saturday to advance to the finals in Flight A, where she'll meet Lillian Gabrielsen of LMU at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Gabrielsen was able to knock off Wiktoria Rutkowska of Long Beach State earlier in the bracket. On the consolation side of Flight A, Zara Lennon won both of her Saturday matches to reach the consolation final.

In Flight B, Emma Bardet and Sadaf Sadeghvaziri each won their matches in straight sets to set up a semifinal matchup with one another. Sadeghvaziri came out victorious over her teammate with a 6-2, 7-6 (4) victory to reach the finals.

In the third singles flight, Carlota Casasampere made it to the finals for the Beach by winning two matches Saturday, winning 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals and 6-2, 6-2 in the semis.

The team of Munoz/Lennon was a 6-3 winner in the top doubles flight to move on to Sunday's final match, while in Flight B, Sadeghvaziri/Devarakonda dominated in a 6-0 win to reach the finals of their flight as well.

The final day of play starts at 9 a.m. at Rhodes Tennis Center. Spectators are reminded that road closures due to the Long Beach Marathon will make accessing the facility more difficult on Sunday morning.
