Women’s Tennis Continues With Two Matches This Week

Long Beach State plays at San Diego State Friday before hosting San Diego Sunday.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Dual match play continues this week for women's tennis as the Beach will face two foes. First, the team will travel south to face San Diego State, before returning home to the Rhodes Tennis Center to host San Diego on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Sunday's match has been rescheduled from its initially set time of Saturday due to forecasted rains in Long Beach on the day.
The Beach will start by taking their unblemished record to San Diego for their first road test of the season, facing the Aztecs of San Diego State on Friday at 2 p.m. The Aztecs are 3-0 with wins over Sacramento State, UC San Diego and UC Riverside.
On Sunday, Long Beach State will once again play host to San Diego in the Rhodes Tennis Center. The Toreros competed in the Beach Tennis Invitational two weeks ago, and the two teams split the top honors, with Solimar Colling of USD claiming the singles title while Wiktoria Rutkowska and Dominique Meyer from LBSU were named the doubles champions.
