
Misty May-Treanor To Be Inducted into USA Volleyball Hall of Fame

The former LBSU standout will be inducted on May 22 in Columbus, Ohio
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former Long Beach State women's volleyball standout, Misty May-Treanor, will be among a group of 25 volleyball legends who will be inducted into the USA Volleyball Hall of Fame on May 22 in Columbus, Ohio, it was announced by the organization Tuesday morning.
The three-time Olympic Games Gold Medalist (2004, 2008, 2012) will enter the USA Volleyball Hall of Fame as its All-Time Great Female Beach Player award recipient for 2019. She is widely regarded as one of the best beach volleyball players off all-time. May-Treanor accumulated 21 consecutive Olympic match victories and three FIVB World Championship titles. She finished her career with 112 tournament titles, including 43 international titles.
May-Treanor starred at Long Beach State from 1995-1998 and was named AVCA Player of the Year following her junior and senior seasons. She helped the Beach capture the 1998 NCAA National Championship with a perfect 36-0 record. The 1998 Honda-Broderick Cup Award Winner concluded her collegiate career winning every individual honor available.
The USA Volleyball Hall of Fame honors players, coaches, officials, and other leaders within the sport. The induction gala is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at USAVolleyball.org.
