LONG BEACH, Calif. -- The Beach is in Idaho this week for the two-day Couer D'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Gonzaga at the Couer D'Alene Resort Golf Course. The first two rounds of the tournament take place on Monday, beginning with a 7 a.m. PT shotgun start, and the final round starts Tuesday at 7 a.m. PT.

Freshman Hunter Pate will be looking to build on her impressive debut last week, when she tied for third place at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo., competing as an individual. Her 4-under round of 68 last Wednesday vaulted her up the leaderboard in that tournament, and earned her a spot in the Long Beach State lineup this week in Couer D'Alene.

Also looking to build on last week's result is Euna Pak, who had the next best result after Pate on opening weekend. The junior had a strong 1-under opening round and ended the tournament in 18th overall.

This year's field includes the host Zags, Illinois, California, UNLV, BYU, Idaho, San Jose State, Nevada, Seattle, Washington State, Northern Arizona, Colorado State, Wichita State, Florida International, and Big West rivals UC Irvine and Hawai'i. At last year's event, the Beach finished in 12th as a team, with Cara Barker the team's top finisher in a tie for 31st place. Live scoring for both days of the tournament will be available on GolfStat.com.
