Women’s Golf Heads to Fort Collins for Fall Season Opener

Long Beach State will open its fall season at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo., hosted by Colorado State.

Long Beach State women's golf is set to begin its fall season at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo., hosted by Colorado State. The defending Big West champions will be one of 12 teams competing at the three-day event, played at the Ptarmigan Country Club. The other schools competing are the host Rams, UNCG, Portland State, Boise State, San Francisco, Idaho, Northern Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, New Mexico State, and UC Irvine.
LBSU's lineup for the week will be comprised of freshman Hannah Ko, senior Haley Tygret, senior Cara Barker, junior Maria Davis, and junior Holland Shourds. Freshman Hunter Pate and Euna Pak will both be playing as individuals in Fort Collins.
In this event last season, Long Beach State finished fifth out of 15 teams to open the year. Tygret was the top finisher for the Beach, tying for 6th place with a 2-under score of 214.
