Water Polo Prepares For UC Irvine Invitational

Long Beach, Calif. — After a week break, No. 19 Long Beach State will be back in action this weekend at UC Irvine for the 2018 Barbara Kalbus Invitational.
The Beach will once again face tough competition after being slotted in the A Bracket. LBSU will open play on Friday against No. 1 Stanford at 10 a.m.
Stanford (7-0) is coming in after having more than two weeks off after going 3-0 at the Stanford Invitational. The Cardinal are led by Makenzie Fischer who has scored 18 goals on the year.
Also in the same bracket with LBSU are No. 8 Pacific and No. 9 Michigan. The Beach will face one of the two teams on Saturday.
LBSU is led by senior Alexandra Massier who has scored 11 goals during the team's first two tournaments.
