Nichole Fry Earns Big West Field Player Of The Week

Long Beach, Calif. - Junior Nichole Fry was named Big West Field Player of the Week, as Long Beach State has now claimed the award in back-to-back weeks.
Fry earned the honor for the second time in her career after a great week at the Marucci Desert Classic, leading the Beach to a perfect 5-0 record. The junior hit .667 on the weekend and slugged .1278 with three doubles, one triple and two home runs in her 12 hits on the weekend.
Batting leadoff for the Beach, Fry scored seven times and also had four RBI while finishing the tournament with four straight games with multiple hits.

On the season, Fry is hitting .447 and is tied for the team lead with three home runs to go along with three doubles, and is leading the 49ers in slugging at .816.
