SAMMAMISH, Wash. -- Long Beach State completed the first two rounds of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite on Tuesday at Sahalee Country Club. It was a tough day to score across the board, as all but one team—the host Washington Huskies—finished over par for the day.
Junior Euna Pak led the Beach with a mark of 7-over through 36 holes to sit in a tie for 26th on the leaderboard. Senior Cara Barker was just two shots back of Pak on the day, shooting 3-over in the second round to finish with an 8-over 152.
Four of the five Long Beach State golfers improved their scores in round two, and the Beach was seven shots better as a team the second time through the golf course.
Action resumes at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning with the third and final round of the tournament.
