2018-19 LONG BEACH STATE WOMEN'S GOLF
Tournament No. 5
at UC Irvine Invitational
Hosted by UC Irvine
Santa Ana Country Club (Par-72, 6,072-yards)
Santa Ana, Calif.
SCHEDULE
Monday, Oct. 29 - First & Second Round, 8:30 a.m. PT shotgun start
Tuesday, Oct. 30 - Final Round, 7:45 a.m. PT tee times
Long Beach State will look to build on its best result of the season this week as they open the UC Irvine Invitational at Santa Ana Country Club on Monday. Less than a week ago, the Beach took fourth place at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, and will look to build on that performance in their first tournament in California this season.
Juniors Euna Pak and Maria Davis led the way for the Beach, each finishing in a tie for 11th with scores of 5-under for the tournament. Each player recorded their career-low round during the event, and they remain in the lineup for the two-day tournament hosted by Big West rivals UC Irvine.
The Beach will have nine golfers out on the course this week, with just one change to last week's lineup as freshman Hannah Ko joins the lineup with Euna Pak, Maria Davis, Cara Barker and Haley Tygret. The quartet of Hunter Pate, Morgan Polley, Holland Shourds and Hannah Son will be playing as individuals in Santa Ana.
Long Beach State will look to defend its 2017 title at this same event, going against a 10-team field that includes the host Anteaters along with Cal Poly, South Dakota State, CSUN, Cal State Fullerton, Boise State, Cal Baptist, Northern Illinois, and Santa Clara. The Beach won the event a year ago by two strokes over Pepperdine, with Pak finishing third, Barker in fourth, and Haley Tygret in a tie for sixth place.
Action begins on Monday at 7:45 a.m. with the first two rounds of play, and live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
