COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Long Beach State Track & Field begins the 2018 season this weekend, sending a strong contingent of athletes to the Air Force Indoor Team Challenge in Colorado Springs, Colo. Over 50 athletes are scheduled to compete for LBSU this weekend, kicking off the 2018 indoor track & field schedule.
The Beach also competed in this event last season and will have a number of returners looking to build on event wins from 2017. Most notably, senior De'Ondra Young set a new school record in the indoor women's weight throw last year at this meet, recording a mark of 63-11.50 to win the event in her Beach debut.

Long Beach State has multiple competitors in each of its field events for both the men and the women on day one, including the weight throw, pole vault, high jump, and long jump.
On the track, the Beach will have several representatives in the women's 200-meter dash, with 10 athletes scheduled to run: Davis, Anaya Alexander, Ashleigh Chambers, Madison Golden, Hollie Harris, Azaria Hill, Elijah McDonald, Shalee Reynolds, Shyann Reynolds, and Tavajia Richardson.
