LBSU Takes Second, Fryer Places Third In Dallas

DALLAS, Texas - Long Beach State posted a final round score of 284 on Thursday afternoon at the Bob Sitton Invitational to finish in second place at TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas Golf Course.
LBSU finished 10 shots behind team champion Arkansas State. The 49ers completed the three-day, 54-hole tournament at 10-over-par 862.
Joe Fryer led the way for the 49ers after shooting a 72 to finish in third at 2-under 211. This was Fryer's second consecutive top-five finish and third this season.
Andres Gonzalez turned in his best round of the tournament, firing a 67 to tie for eighth at 2-over 215.
Kymer Li carded a 73 to tie for 12th at 4-over, while Hunter Reed also shot a 73, tying for 51st at 12-over.
Patrick Pockels (+19) posted an 82 to tie for 81st.
Arkansas State's Zan Luka Stirn captured individual medalist with a 7-under 206, edging Cody Burrows of Oral Roberts by four strokes.
The 49ers return to action on Monday, Apr. 10, traveling to Chandler, Ariz. for the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Whirlwind Golf Club.
