Kotsia Participating In FINA World Championships

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State women's water polo senior Christina Kotsia was named to the Greece Women's National Team, and is participating in the 2015 FINA World Championships, held in Kazan, Russia, through August 7.

Kotsia has been active in group play for Greece, scoring two goals in a blowout win against South Africa, as well as finding the net in a close loss against the Netherlands.

Greece will play one more additional contest on Saturday, needing a win to advance to the quarterfinals which will begin on Monday.

Kotsia joins a long line of 49ers to find success in International competition, becoming the 10th former women's water polo to compete for a senior women's national team.
