Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State's 8-2 Sand Volleyball team will have one of its busiest weeks of the season, facing two dual matches before participating in the USAV Invitational in Hermosa Beach this weekend. The week begins on Wednesday, when the Beach will get a second crack at No. 4 Pepperdine at Zuma Beach.
The Beach is riding a five-match winning streak, and has not lost a single match in their last four duals.
After their meeting with No. 4 Pepperdine, the Beach returns to the LBSU Sand Courts for a dual with Grand Canyon at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 10.
Following that competition, Long Beach State will take part in the USAV Beach Collegiate Challenge. The 49ers will have dual matches against No. 2 Hawai'i and San Francisco on Saturday, with pairs play beginning that evening and then continuing to determine a champion on Sunday. The event will be held in Hermosa Beach, Calif., north of the pier.
