Sand Volleyball Closes Home Schedule This Week

Long Beach, Calif. - No. 6 Long Beach State wraps up non-tournament play this week, as the Beach travels to No. 8 UCLA for a televised match on the Pac-12 networks today, and will then host Loyola Marymount at 1 p.m. Friday before an 11 a.m. start against Concordia on Saturday. LBSU will honor its five seniors prior to Friday's match against the Lions.
The Beach were 5-0 winners against the Bruins earlier this season, taking the sweep against UCLA back on April 4. Long Beach State will have a higher profile chance to do so this season, as the 49ers have their first televised match this season as Wednesday's meeting at UCLA will be televised on the Pac-12 networks beginning at 1 p.m.
Prior to Friday's match, the 49ers will honor their five seniors, including Aigner-Swesey and Chelsea Cabrajac along with Andrea McHugh, Tyler Jackson, and Bre Mackie.
Long Beach State then rounds out its dual schedule on Saturday, hosting Concordia at 11 a.m. at the LBSU Sand Courts. The Beach will have one more regular season competition after that, travelling to Honolulu to compete in the Aloha Invitational on April 24-25.
