James Ennis Begins Second Season With Miami Heat

Long Beach, Calif. - The National Basketball Association kicked off the 2015-16 season on Tuesday, and Long Beach State’s own James Ennis will once more represent the Beach, making the Miami Heat roster for the second season in a row.
Ennis played in 62 games last season, starting three for the Heat after coming off an all-star campaign with the Perth Wildcats of the Australian National Basketball League. The former Big West Player of the Year averaged 5.0 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game last season for the Heat.
The small forward scored a high of 17 points twice last season, including racking up a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds in the 2014-15 regular season finale for Miami against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Miami begins its season today, Wednesday, October 28, hosting the Charlotte Hornets.
Other former LBSU players of note playing abroad include two players from last season in Mike Caffey, who is playing in Hungary, and David Samuels who has made the move to Cypress. Casper Ware, Lin Chang and Donovan Morris are all playing in China, T.J. Robinson is now playing in England, and Eugene Phelps is continuing to play in Mexico.
