Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State softball has announced that they will be holding three showcase camps, open to any and all potential High School and Community College-aged players interested in moving to the Division I level.
The first showcase will be held on September 28, with the next having been moved to November 16. The third showcase will be on Martin Luther King day in January, on Monday, Jan. 19.
Long Beach State Softball is offering their annual skills showcase camp. Each athlete will be able to display their abilities and work ethic. You will train using many of the same methods and facilities that the Long Beach State team utilizes. The camp will also consist of skill & game evaluation, an educational clinic/Q&A focused on the recruiting needs of an NCAA Division I athlete, and a tour of our campus. Instruction is conducted by the Long Beach State coaching staff.
Participants will also be divided into teams for evaluations of their performance in game situations. We will assign campers to either a morning session or afternoon session consisting on only 26 players so therefore the camp is limited to the FIRST 52 campers registered. This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet the Long Beach State coaching staff and familiarize yourself with the 49ers softball program. The Showcase will provide you with valuable instruction for your development as a player and an opportunity for you to display your talents.
