Long Beach State Wraps up Action at Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. - The Long Beach State track & field team produced seven lifetime bests at the Mt. SAC Relays, which was held at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
Willie Alexander was the 49ers' lone field athlete as he placed fourth in the long jump with a personal-record 25-05.25. That mark ranks sixth in the nation and seventh in school history. He also took 15th in the triple jump (46-08).
Chris Low continued to post top performances on the track, running the 800m in 1:49.42 to earn runner-up honors. Earlier this month, Low posted a school-record 1:48.3 at the Stanford Invitational.
Chris Enriquez was also 19th in the 5000m Run Olympic Development Elite section. He crossed the finish line in 14:09.04, which is less than two seconds off his program-record time of 14:07.3 that he established at the Stanford Invite.
Cameron Glasgow notched a personal-best 21.17 in the 200m, where he placed 14th overall.
Both Cody Smith and Bryce Van Boxtel registered personal records in the 400m hurdles. Smith finished 15th overall at 52.99 seconds, and Van Boxtel was 39th at 54.24 seconds.
The Beach had three top-15 finishes in the 110-meter hurdles. Davon Wilson-Angel led the way in fourth (14.16), while Koree Hines (14.41) and Devin Hickey (14.42) came in 14th and 15th, respectively.
Dylan McCloskey clocked in with a lifetime-best 47.22 seconds to place ninth in the 400m.
The men's 4x100 relay team comprised of Cameron Glasgow, Jahmani Lockett, McCloskey and Michael Perez-Rogers took third in a season-best 40.91 seconds. Glasgow, Lockett and Perez-Rogers also combined with Cody Smith for a third-place finish in the 4x400 (3:11.27).
On the women's side, Kayla Goosby ran a wind-aided personal-best 11.76 to finish 19th in the 100m. Jasmine Askew added a top-20 showing in the 400m at 55.06 seconds.
Emily Cooper, Goosby, Alex Kruthers and Saedra Wright also teamed up for a sixth-place finish in the 4x100 (46.43).
Catherine Martinez was the 49ers' top finisher in the 1500m as she established a lifetime-best 4:31.32.
Amber Clark was 20th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.10 seconds.
On Thursday, Kylee Martin ran a personal-record 11:08.22 in the 3000m steeplechase.
Long Beach State is back in action on Saturday, April 19, when it hosts the 20th annual Beach Invitational at Cerritos College.
