Beach Women's Water Polo Signs Three for 2016

Long Beach, Calif. – Women’s water polo head coach Gavin Arroyo announced that three future Beach Women’s Water Polo players have signed National Letters Of Intent to play at Long Beach State. Long Beach State is building off the 2014 season that saw them go 19-12.
The class will join the Beach squad for the 2016 season consists of Karley Kraft, Daniela Lucidi, and Taylor Julson.
Kraft is an attacker out of Los Alamitos High School. She has been on the honor roll and scholar athlete since 2011. She was the second leading scorer on her team with 68 goals during the 2014 season. Kraft was named second team All-Sunset League, third team All-CIF, and second team for the Press Telegram Dream Team. She was also part of the 2014 Huntington Beach Water Polo Club under 18 Cal Cup State Finals and placed second.
Since 2011, Lucidi has been the Orange Coast League Champions with Laguna Beach High School. In 2014, she was part of the Division 1 CIF winning team. She has been an All-League and All-California player for the past 4 years. She also played for the SET Water Polo Club for 4 years and qualified for the Junior Olympics every year.
Julson is a utility player from Laguna Beach High School. She swam and played water polo for El Toro High School for 2 years, where her team became South Coast League Champions in 2012 and went to the CIF Division 2 semi-finals. At Laguna Beach High School, Julson was part of the Orange Coast League Champion team in 2014 and also helped her team win their way to the CIF Division 1 Championship. She was also a part of the SET Water Polo Club in Lake Forest and was on the Under 16 Junior Olympics 2013 Championship Team.
All three recruits will join the 49ers for the 2016 season. The 2015 season will begin at the UC Santa Barbara Tournament on Jan 24.
