Women's Water Polo begins postseason at Big West Tournament

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State begins their postseason run this weekend, when the 49ers play in the opening round against UC Santa Barbara against the host Gauchos on Friday, April 29 at 5:15 p.m.
Seeded sixth, the 49ers will play UC Santa Barbara in the opening round of the tournament. The Gauchos are hosting the rotating tournament this season, and are seeded third, while Pacific and UC Davis play in the other opening round match.
With a win in the opening round, Long Beach State would then face (2) Cal State Northridge, a team that the 49ers beat twice in the regular season at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. With a loss, the 49ers would play the loser of the Pacific/UC Davis match in the fifth-place game on Sunday, May 1.
Two wins, and the 49ers would advance to their first Big West Tournament finals to be played at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, the last of three matches on that day.
