The Long Beach State men's golf team travels down to Chula Vista for the San Diego Intercollegiate Classic hosted by the University of San Diego. The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Monday, Mar. 14, with 36-holes and concludes on Tuesday, Mar. 15 with the final 18 holes. Both days will take place at the par-72, 7,050 yard San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista.
Thirteen teams will be featured in this year's tournament: Air Force, Cal State San Marcos, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, Point Loma Nazarene, San Diego State, San Diego, Southern Methodist and Texas Arlington.
LBSU is coming off from a second-place finish at the Del Walker Intercollegiate last week at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach. The 49ers finished one-stroke behind team champion Santa Clara. Four 49ers placed in the top-10 as Benjamin Lein and Kevin Roy tied for sixth (+3) and Philip Chian and Raymond Ho tied for ninth (+5).
