Five 49ers compete at UW Indoor Open

SEATTLE, Wash. -
The Long Beach State track and field team had five athletes compete at the UW Indoor Open in Seattle on Sunday.
Senior Alex Freitas had the top time in the 600m, crossing the finish line in 1 minute, 19.54 seconds. Sophomore Mario Granville also had a strong race, clocking in at 1:23.50.
Senior Alex Black won the men's high jump with a mark of 2.08 meters.
On the women's side, senior Tayler O'Connor took third in the high jump, clearing 1.74m, while sophomore Janelle Coulter wasn't far behind at 1.72m.
The 49ers will take a week off from competition before returning to Seattle for the MPSF Indoor Championships, Feb. 26-27.
