Stephanie Jeanes Signes Financial Aid Agreement

LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State Head Women’s Tennis Coach Jenny Hilt-Costello announced today that Stephanie Jeanes has signed a Financial Aid Agreement with the school. Jeanes hails from Sydney, Australia and will be a freshman in 2007-08 for the 49ers.

Jeanes currently has an Australian junior ranking of #10 and an ITF World Junior Ranking of #249. She won the ITF World Junior Tournamenet in Adelaide, Australia this past February (2007) and competed in the 2006 Australian Open Junior Championship. She has played in 27 ITF world junior tournament events and her highest ranking among Australian women stands at #40.

“Stephanie is another talented Aussie for our program who should make an immediate impact,” said Hilt-Costello. “She is already a successful tennis player and a strong student. I look forward to her bringing a tremendous energy and high level of experience to our program when she arrives next spring.”

A right-hander, Jeanes will be finishing high school in November and joining the 49ers in January of 2008.
