Beach Knocks Off Ohio One More Time Bridgette Pagano (10-5) earned the win as she allowed no runs on four hits in 3.2 innings of relief. Brianna Goad, Lacy Tyler and Stefanie Trutanic all had two hits a piece as the 49ers racked up eight hits on the afternoon. The Bobcats struck first in the fourth inning off of 49er starting pitcher Kelly Cross as she loaded the bases on two infield singles and a hit batter. A passed ball brought in one run for Ohio before Pagano came in to relieve Cross. A sacrifice fly by Maureen McKelvey gave the Bobcats a 2-0 advantage. LBSU responded in the top of the fifth as an RBI single by Trutanic plated Kourtnee Gervasi. The 49ers continued to rally in the sixth inning when Tyler's double scored Goad, who reached base on an infield single to start the inning. Brooke LeSage then singled to bring home Tyler giving the 49ers the 3-2 edge. Pagano was able to keep the Bobcat bats quiet for the remainder of the game. The 49ers will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on Brown in a double header at the Softball Complex, with the first game slated to start at 1 pm. LBSU will then begin Big West Conference play as they host Cal State Northridge this weekend with a double header on Saturday, March 31 and a single game on Sunday, April 1. First pitch on both days will be at 1 pm.
