STOCKTON, CA -- No. 12 Long Beach State completed a weekend road sweep with a 3-0 victory over No. 8 Pacific on Saturday evening at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Game scores were 30-27, 30-24, 30-26. The 49ers had defeated Stanford 3-0 on Friday evening.

Paul Lotman led the 49ers with 14 kills and a .591 hitting percentage, while Dean Bittner added 13 kills. Dan Alexander hit for an impressive .667 (7-1-9) clip and Tyler Caldwell posted a team-high eight digs. Conor Eaton directed the 49er offense to a .398 hitting percentage with 41 assists. Long Beach State out-blocked Pacific14.5 to 8.0.

Maor Nutkevitch and Pekka Seppanen led the Tigers as they combined for 25 kills in the losing effort. Garrett Anderson led the offense issuing 42 assists.

The 49ers return to action next weekend when they host the annual Active Ankle Classic at The Walter Pyramid on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17. Participating teams include Cal Baptist, IPFW, Penn State, and Long Beach State.
