Beach Easily Cruise Past Pacific 16-6 STOCKTON, CA-- No. 5-ranked Long Beach State (14-5, 5-3 MPSF) easily cruised by conference foe, host Pacific (2-19, 0-7 MPSF), 16-6, giving The Beach two straight victories in Northern California. Cassie Azevedo led the 49ers in scoring for the second straight contest, scoring three times, while Sarah Vejar and Lindsey Machado each added two goals a piece. LBSU went up 6-1 after one period and led 10-1 after the first 14 minutes. Angelica Garcia (184 goals) with one goal today tied Ashely Richardson's barely one-year old record for scoring. Bri Hawkins came within one save (551) of Amanda Wightman's all-time record. Ally Barr played the second half in goal for The Beach recording one saves, while allowing four goals. The 49ers close out their three-game roadtrip to Northern California, when they travel to UC Davis on Sunday for a matchup at 1:30 p.m.
