Cross Heads to Stanford

CROSS COUNTRY HEADS TO STANFORD LONG BEACH, CA --The Beach cross country team will travel to Palo Alto this Saturday to compete at the Stanford Invitational. "Stanford Invitational is always a tough meet, full of some top cross country programs,' said Distance coach Geoff Masanet, 'and it will be a great opportunity for us to take our racing to the next level." "We definitely will have a much improved finish from last year, and could make quite an impact at this meet," Masanet added. Competing in the women's 6k will be Nicole Blalock (Orange), Sharon Burnett (Springfield, OR), Veronica Capron (Oxnard), Diane Mendoza (Cerritos), Tarah Novelli (Lancaster), Jaclyn Pedersen (Simi Valley), and Crystal Roethlisberger (Tulare). Competing in the women's 4k will be Molly Roche (Arleta), Shannon Skager (Arcadia), and Gretchen Witowich (La Mirada). In the men's 8k will be Jonathan Breed (San Diego), Loren Childers (Snohomish, WA), Daniel Estrella (Long Beach), Arturo Garcia (Chino), Jacob Kruczynski (Pacifica), Kenny Lawrence (Ramona), Cory Martin (So. Lake Tahoe), Wolhan Ovalle (Vacaville), Brian Stehmeier (Running Springs), Aaron Trunnell (Oceanside), Terrance Wroblewski (Half Moon Bay). Hudson Wilver and Scot Breithaupt will compete in the 4k men's race. |
