XC HEADS TO THE DESERT LONG BEACH, CA --The Beach cross country team will travel to Tempe, AZ to compete at the Arizona State Invitational on Friday. The meet features Arizona State, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, and numerous junior colleges. Fourteen men and nine women will make the trip to Tempe including standout freshman Nicole Blalock (Orange) and the Beach's top male runner Terrance Wroblewski (Half Moon Bay). "We are going to run a controlled race plan," said Distance Coach Geoff Masanet. "Run fast and patiently, but race deliberately. We want to save our big races for home and conference," Masanet added.
