PALO ALTO, CA -- Jenny Yadon (Lancaster, CA), fell just 29 seconds short of the school-record racing to a time of 22:30 in the 6K course at the Stanford Invitational. Overall, the men's cross country team finished 17th while the women's team finished 23rd at the Stanford Invitational. Yadon finished in 52nd place overall with the third-best time in LBSU history.
"Our team took a step in the right direction today," Distance Coach Geoff Masanet said. "Although we would have liked to place higher then we did, we had solid performances from our runners, as well as some personal bests."
Sharon Burnett (Springfield, OR) finished in 126th place with a time of 23:36, while Diane Mendoza (Cerritos, CA) finished just two places behind Burnett with a time of 23:37.
