Wiley was a four-year starter for the 49ers, ranking seventh all-time with 1,430 career points. On the 49er career chart his 538 career field goals is sxith all-time, and he is third in career assists (425), second in career steals (187), fourth in career free throw percentage (.780) sixth in 3-point field goals made (127), seventh in 3-point field goals attempted (326) and sixth in 3-point field goal percentage (.390). Wiley was a first team All-Big West pick in 1988 and recorded six games with 30 or more points, including a career-high 37 points on 2/27/86 vs. Utah State. Wiley’s 578 points during the 1987-88 campaign is the 8th-best single season total in 49er history and his 74 steals is the 2nd-best total. He averaged 19.9 points per game in 1987-88, a mark which is tied for 9th-best in school history. Wiley also on the single season chart he is 10th (134 in 1986-87) and 16th (120 in1987-88) in assists, tied for 7th in field goals made (218 in 1987-88), eighth in 3-point field goals made (57 in 1987-88) and ninth in 3-point field goal percentage (.416 in 1987-88). He helped lead the 49ers to a 17-12 record in 1987-88 (his senior year) and an 11-7 mark in the Big West (4th place). LBSU received an NIT invitation in 1998, its first post-season appearance since an NIT appearance in 1979-80. Wiley was drafted in the 2nd Round of the NBA Draft in 1988 (46th choice overall) by the Dallas Mavericks. He played 12 years in the NBA, playing in 295 regular season games during his NBA career with Dallas, Orlando, San Antonio, Atlanta and Miami, averaging 3.7 ppg., 2.4 apg. and 1.2 rpg. in 13.0 minpg. Wiley is currently in his second year as an assistant coach for player development with the Orlando Magic after spending the previous four years as part of the player development staff for the Dallas Mavericks.
