Luiza Moraes joined the Athletics Communications team in August of 2024 as an Athletic Communications Assistant for the Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams at Long Beach State.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Moraes is a former member of the Brazilian national water polo team and competed at the NCAA Division I level for Long Beach State from 2014 to 2018. She earned her B.A. in Consumer Affairs during her time as a student-athlete, followed by a B.A. in Photography from IBMR in Brazil (2021).
In 2024, Moraes served as the official photographer for the Brazilian Olympic Committee at the Olympic Games, where she captured dynamic and emotionally powerful moments of competition on the global stage. She is currently pursuing her M.B.A. at Long Beach State, expanding her expertise in the intersection of sports, media, and business.
