Chelsea directed UC Riverside’s first department-wide press conference in over a decade and provided leadership across external relations, policy development, crisis communications, and multi-unit strategic projects. For the last two years, she was selected to serve on The Big West’s Undivided committee, helping shape conference-level strategies to strengthen equity, belonging, and student-athlete experience across member institutions.
Prior to her executive leadership work, Chelsea spent five years as Assistant Director of Sports Communications at UC Riverside, serving as the on-site media relations contact for 17 Division I sports while overseeing game operations staffing, digital and emerging media strategy, and creative storytelling across all platforms. She previously served as Sports Information Director at Hope International University, where she led communications for 19 NAIA programs and drove a full website redesign and brand refresh. Chelsea began her career in multimedia production and digital experience design at MVS Studio and the American Museum of Natural History.
