Myles Andrews
Myles Andrews enters his role as Assistant Coach for the Long Beach State track and field and cross country program with more than five years of experience supporting athlete development and program operations. Prior to joining the Beach, Andrews served as an assistant coach at Long Beach Poly High School, where he contributed to training design, daily practice management, and athlete progression across the middle-distance and distance groups. During his tenure, he assisted in guiding multiple athletes to the California State Championships and played a key role in helping runners achieve notable improvements in the 800m and 1600m events. Andrews also brings experience from Orange Lutheran High School, where he supported cross country and middle-distance training and collaborated on mental performance and race-preparation strategies.

A former standout 800m runner, Andrews competed for USC as a student-athlete, earning Pac-12 honors and qualifying twice for the NCAA Regionals before running professionally with the New Balance Big Bear Track Club. As a Long Beach Poly alum, he recorded high school bests of 1:50.6 in the 800m and 4:12.6 in the 1600m, and he anchored a national record 4x800m relay. He holds a B.S. in Sociology from USC.
